From the most primitive aspects of our history we have created and with our creations we have made impressions on others. Artful Definitions of the Minoan Society

(6 pp). When we try to investigate Minoan society we encounter a number of problems regarding the evidence. Because the climate is frequently wet, most of the perishable evidence has disappeared with the weather. This makes it hard to construct a picture of Minoan society. We have some knowledge about Minoan people, of course, but this is very fragmentary: only little aspects of the Minoan social life are ever revealed at one time, mainly because the written materials are so few, and because scholars can read only a very little of this written evidence. Yet, it appears from their archeological art, that the Minoans as a society were much more advanced than others of their time. Bibliography lists 5 sources.

(6 pp). When we try to investigate the Minoan society we are immediately hampered by the lack of physical evidence. Being a costal area leads to erosion and decay just because of climate. We have some fragmentary knowledge about Minoan people, but that must be gleaned from artifacts, since little remains of written documents. Benedictional of St. Ethelwold

An 11 page research paper that examines the Benedictional of St. Ethelwold, a magnificent tenth-century Anglo-Saxon illuminated manuscript, which is the penultimate example of what is known as the Winchester style of illumination. This examination of the Benedictional looks specifically at framing devices, the placement of the illustrations within the text and the function for which the Benedictional was intended, that is, exactly what it is and how it relates to the Gospels.
