The Survival Strategies of Cats
[ send me this paper ]
This is a 5 page paper discussing the survival strategies of cats. Cats, as well as other animals today, have developed different strategies for survival which include those needed for survival in the wild and the ultimate competition with natural space with man, and those needed for survival in domestic situations. In addition, strategies for cat and animal survival have also been developed by humans to help retain species threatened by the expansion of man’s urban life. The types of cats range from the larger game cats such as tigers and lions still in the wild and those cats which rely on humans for their existence in reserve, zoo and domestic environments. Depending on the environment, cats have adapted physically and in their behavior in order to further their survival.

The Therapeutic Value Of Pets
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. Social theory has long attributed animals to being a life-altering component to otherwise traditional approaches. It has been acknowledged for some time now that they possess an inherent quality that encourages people to express their most suppressed emotions when they would not do so with any other human being. Animals are cornerstones of strength during the most difficult times in life, offering silent support with no strings attached. Indeed, as much as an individual might nurture a therapy animal, the animal provides just as much emotional nurturing in return. At-risk youth and the elderly, two separate populations that often feel the rest of world has given up on them, take solace in the company of animals. Bibliography lists 8 sources.

The Treatment Of Animals
[ send me this paper ]
3 pages in length. Man's ethical egoism has caused him significant problems throughout his relatively short reign on planet Earth; with very few exceptions, everything humanity has done, is doing or will do to progress as a species will come at the cost of other entities. This blatant disregard for living in harmony with the flora and fauna around him – which existed long before he ever did – is one of the most shameful of all human characteristics, particularly where animal treatment is concerned. Under What Conditions Do Children's Attitudes Change While Visiting The Zoo?
[ send me this paper ]
10 pages in length. The purpose of this proposal is to examine the change in attitude of children who are told the truth about why animals live in zoos. Exposure to animals within a zoo setting is typically the first association children have with species beyond the domestic dog and cat. Giving them a truthful understanding of why wild animals are held in captivity for human enjoyment even though it serves as a tremendous detriment to the animal's physical and psychological well being is the first step in getting children interested in the humane treatment of animals at a very young age. Expectations of this qualitative research questionnaire include a change in attitude from the zoo being a fun place to see wild animals to one of sadness that wild animals are forced to live unhappy lives in unnatural surroundings just so people to look at them. Bibliography lists 12 sources.
