The Autobiography of Malcolm X.
[ send me this paper ]
(5 pp) In the month of hearts, flowers, and love
"the angriest black man in America " was murdered
in the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem. After he was
shot, he said he would be glad if he could have
helped the black people, but that all credit is due
to Allah. Only the mistakes were his. Malcolm X
died on February 21, 1965; he was 40 years old.
An autobiography is the story of ones life as they
tell it. This is not entirely true in the case
of Malcolm X.; on a regular basis he told parts
of his life to journalist and author, Alex Haley,
who then put those life-pieces together into the
autobiography that we are discussing.

The Intensity of the Black Revolutionary Struggle in the 1960s in Regards to the Political Writers and Activists of the Time
[ send me this paper ]
This is a 5 page paper discussing the black revolutionary movement in the 1960s as more intense than the struggle today. The black revolutionary movement that existed during the 1960s Civil Rights struggle has been said to have diminished greatly over the years. Writers, orators and activists such as Malcolm X and H. Rap Brown spoke so intensely during their time that Malcolm X was assassinated and Brown was later jailed for their controversial activities. Critics today believe that the black revolutionary movement has “all but vanished from the earth” and cite the intensity of the works of Malcolm X and Brown as examples of the determination which was felt throughout the 1960s and which no longer exists today. In addition to the writings of the political and social leaders of the time, literary scholars such as Diane Oliver wrote short stories which commented on the effect of the civil rights movement on citizens; a genre which is still continued somewhat in modern social writing but does not contain the intensity of the social movements of the 1960s.

that question we will examine this third account

covered the years of his life from 1855 to 1881
in about two hundred pages, and reduced those pages

The Lives, Speeches and Writings of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X
[ send me this paper ]
This is a 12 page paper on the lives, accomplishments and writings of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X were both visionaries in the way the dedicated their lives and writings to the pursuit of equality for African Americans. Their methods are perceived as slightly different however as King is associated with his pacifist approach to the fight for freedom and equality whereas Malcolm X is more often remembered for his somewhat more radical and active approach. Both men were born into the Baptist religion and their fathers were both preachers in the Church. King’s father, Martin Luther King Sr., believed that strict morals, integrity and the cooperation with the whites would bring about the eventual equality of African Americans which was reflected a great deal in his son’s mission. Malcolm X’s father, Earl Little, was a much more radical speaker in the civil movement which led to his eventual death by white supremacists. Malcolm X later converted to the Muslim religion which he felt better represented his beliefs. Despite their different backgrounds, both King and Malcolm X eventually gave their own lives to the cause of equality and freedom they so deeply believed in and their writings and actions are still used in the fight for African Americans and the equality of all races of men today.
