Dean Ornish's "Love & Survival : 8 Pathways To Intimacy And Health"
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. Dean Ornish's "Love & Survival : 8 Pathways To Intimacy And Health" addresses a very fundamental instinct of every human being: individualism. That this quest for uniqueness asserts itself in every aspect of one's existence is paramount to the extent of prosocial behavior and how that relates to one's levels of health and intimacy. From the author's perspective, one can readily surmise that to be unique within a world of sameness is a quest sought by many people; however, it is by way of such an objective that one becomes labeled as selfish and introverted – consciously divorced from the requisite human connections that establish a healthful existence. Diabetes and Stress Effects
[ send me this paper ]
A 15 page paper discussing the effects of stress on diabetes. Stress has been linked to a variety of diseases for many years. It has been relatively recently, however, that it has been linked to diabetes in terms of having direct effect on diabetics’ blood glucose levels and their ability to manage fluctuations. The purpose here is to provide an overview of the disease and stress, and provide literature support of how stress and diabetes interact. While the full effect of stress on diabetes is not totally clear, it is extremely clear that stress negatively affects progress of the disease and individuals’ ability to control their conditions. While it is reasonable to assume that stress also may affect onset of the disease in those genetically predisposed to it, that possibility has not yet been proven. Bibliography lists 13 sources.

Those who have caught their disease in time can still count on dying an average of fifteen years earlier than what is otherwise expected. Infants who are born from mothers with diabetes are two to three times more likely to die than their disease-free counterparts.
