The Battle Of The Bulge
[ send me this paper ]
10 pages in length. Quickly losing ground and heading for defeat, Hitler realized that he had to come up with a military attack that would impede the Allied progress; as such, the Battle of the Bulge was waged with overwhelming fervor. This, the last major offensive by the German Army, was devised as a counterattack against the Allied invasion in Belgium’s Ardennes region. While there may have been little else for Hitler to construct due to America’s successful military infiltration, the Battle of the Bulge proved to render Germany even more vulnerable than before the all-out attack. The United States perspective of the Battle of the Bulge clearly recognized the desperation that compelled Hitler’s actions; it would be only a matter of time before his plan backfired. Indeed, American troops suffered losses, but the final outcome proved to ultimately
sustain United States military interests. Bibliography lists 10 sources.

The Battle Of Verdun #2
[ send me this paper ]
8 pages in length. The 1916 battle of Verdun is considered one of the most influential events to ultimately shape France's self-image as a country. Fought throughout the bitterest of winters, the soggy rains of spring and fall, and the infernal heat of summer, the battle cost the lives of some four-hundred thousand French fighters. So horridly etched upon history is the massacre, that just the mention of it triggers memories that the French vow will never be relived again. The writer offers an overview of the events leading up to the battle, as well as the tactics that were applied during fighting. Bibliography lists 10 sources.

The Bryce Report
[ send me this paper ]
The Bryce report was commissioned in 1914 to
investigate reports of civilian maltreatment by German troops that had
invaded Belgium. They were meant to either prove or disprove
information that had become widely disseminated through the use of
propaganda. This 5 page paper argues that the British government set
out to prove the substance of its own propaganda in order to convince
the United States that it was truly a moral issue. The unusual voice in
this instance was that of the propaganda machine within the context of
serious international relations and foreign policy.
Bibliography lists 7 sources.

The Cause Of World War II
[ send me this paper ]
8 pages in length. At the crux of the Second World War was not so much the instigation of just one entity, but rather the combined efforts of two significant forces. Some believe that all the blame of WWII belongs squarely upon the political shoulders of the Weimar Republic failure, while others contend that the German character, aims of the Kaisserreich and the rise of Hitler were instrumental in setting the stage for war. If one were to assess the reasons behind how and why World War II ultimately occurred, there would not be one singular instigator that catapulted these global regions into the depths of battle. Bibliography lists 9 sources.
